Each cable end is the mating connector of the jack it plugs into: a male jack takes a female cable end, and a female jack takes a male end. Changing a jack here updates it on the device. New cables start at 15 ft.

How to use Patchbay

Selecting

Click	Select a device or cable
`Shift`+click	Add to or remove from the selection
Drag on empty canvas	Box select devices and the cables between them
`Shift`+drag	Add a box to the selection
`Ctrl/⌘`+`A`	Select all
`Esc`	Clear the selection

Editing

Double-click	Edit a device (name, icon, jacks) or a cable (length, connectors)
`Enter`	Edit the one selected item
Drag a device	Move it, or the whole selection
`D` or `Ctrl/⌘`+`D`	Duplicate selected devices with their cables
`Delete` / `Backspace`	Remove the selection (Undo appears)

Patching

Drag jack to jack	Patch a cable; only matching signal types light up
Drag a plugged input away	Unplug the cable or move it to another input
Drag a plugged data output	Move its cable (one cable per data output)
Right-click a cable	Remove it

Adding devices

Right-click the canvas	Add device palette at the pointer
`Menu` or `Shift`+`F10`	Open the palette from the keyboard
Type, then `Enter`	Filter the palette and add the first match
Drop a file on the canvas	Open a .set.json or add a .device.json

View

`Space`+drag	Pan
Middle-button drag	Pan
Mouse wheel	Zoom at the pointer
Fit	Frame all devices
